I agree with another commenter, we need more pics of these three being chill and happy together.

Not that I don't like the angsty sad, because I do, but we need the happy parts to balance it out, you know?

I agree!! I think in fandom we tend to see all the implicit sad things and we roll around in them--angst is fun, but gosh, sometimes we need to remember this comic is written mostly in a humorous and lighthearted tone. I wish we could hear more about the ancestors so their story isn't ALL sad xDD instead we can make things up, I guess. Thank you so much ;w; <333

Very true.

I mean, yeah HS is incredibly depressing if you strip away all the humorous prose and wordplay, but it's still supposed to be humorous, and so it's fine for the fandom to be humorous too sometimes.

And yes, I do have a few "Ask the ancestors" askblogs that I follow, and most of them manage to strike a nice blend between serious and funny that I really enjoy. ^w^ And you're welcome.

And I love your style. It has this kind of... classic poster art feel? And so many little details and hand-poses and wonderful facial expressions!

It's so rare, too, to see these characters being... simply relaxed together and not angsty or anything. (I say with a folder full of angst art bookmarks.) -- Maybe what I mean to say is that it's mostly easier to draw or tell something truly memorable via angst than via positive emotions, and so when I see something that captures a positive moment that is just as evocative as any of the angsty pics, it really sticks in my mind.

Not that there's anything wrong with anime style, I just hoped I was expanding my repertoire of styles a bit!

Man, I agree about the relative lack of happy artwork of these characters. I love angst as much as you do, probably, but I just imagine these three were adorable twenty-somethings together when they weren't running away from pitchfork-waving mobs.
